Fun With Cd's (Pre Primary)

The Students of Pre Primary made beautiful fish using CD'Son 29 December 2011(Thursday). This Activity help them to use waste materials in the most effective way. It was a fun filled activity.

Interschool Competition at Modern School Barakhamba Road

Angad Singh participated in an interschool Fancy Dress competition held at Modern School Barakhamba Road on 23 December 2011(Friday). He was dressed up as Social Networking King. He performed with great zeal and confidence. His efforts were lauded by the audience.

Christmas Celebration (Nursery Wing)

Its Christmas time again, with trees,gifts and Santa Claus.
Its time to celebrate the birth of Messiah, the saviour of the world.

Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated with great pomp and show on 23 December 2011 (Friday) in the school. The birth scene of the Saviour of the world- Jesus Christ was depicted by the children of Nursery classes. A manger scene was created. Angels and wise men showers their blessings on everyone. Santa, on the sledge, surrounded by various cartoon characters caught everybody's attention. It was a day of merry making. Students enjoyed Christmas party with great fun and laughter. They received gifts from the school also. They all went home wishing each other Merry Christmas.

Reindeer Mask Making (Pre Primary)

Christmas is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Jesus.

In MPS , it was celebrated on 23 December 2011(Friday). The Christmas tree was decorated with dolls, bells and flowers that gave a very bright aura. All the students rejoiced the eve in high spirits. A christmas party was organised for the nursery wing wherein children were dressed up in red coloured sweater with a red Santa cap. Some of them wore dresses of cartoon chracters. Reindeer Masks were made by using stars, glitters and bindis. They all got gifts as a token of love from Principal Ma'am. The little santas enjoyed the day wholeheartedly.

Night Camp (Nursery Wing)

Night Camp was organised for the Classes Pre School to III on 03.12.2011 (Saturday) and 04.12.2011(Sunday). Children were very excited and happy. They were welcomed with a drink followed by different rides. Style check on beat was the main attraction of the Night Camp. Children were looking stunning in their beautiful attires of different states and countries. Rock on stage was organised for all the children where they tapped their feet on different songs. Children also enjoyed doing T-Shirt painting and fun in watching puppet show. Children had a gala time. The motive of this camp was to make them more responsible, independent and to inculcate good habits in them.

English Poem RecitationCompetition (Class-I)

The aim of the education is not only to teach our children but also to make them confident in life. A child's self image should not be entangled with grades instead a child should be encouraged to have a developed personality. In M.P.S we are for the holistic development and motivate child to turn every small step he /she takes into a giant leap in the future. On 15 November 2011(Tuesday) English poem Recitation Competition was organised for Class I students. Children recited various poems based on pollution, forest, child labour etc and used props like puppets, cutouts. Children participated with zeal and enthusiasm. These type of activities are "play centered" and gives them a platform for nurturing their speaking skills.

Samvaad Pratiyogita (Class II &III)

An interclass Competition on Samvaad Pratiyogita was organised for the classes II & III on 9 November 2011(Wednesday). Children presented their thoughts on various topics which helped them in enhancing their communication skills. The costumes lend a magical impact to their roles. Our students participated in Hasya Jugalbandi Competition held at Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar on 5 November 2011(Saturday). The theme was "Stop war and adopt peace". The students were dressed up in vibrant costumes. They delivered their dialogues with great zeal and confidence.

M.P.S dancers rock(Class I)

Every Child has some talent in him. To explore the dancing talent of the students, a Solo Dance Competition was organised for the students of Class I on 21 October 2011(Friday). The children were dressed up in beautiful and colourful attires. Kids completely rocked the show by dancing on western and Indian beats such as Waka- Waka, Bum Bum Bhole, Left leg. The performance created an ambience which overwhelmed the audience and the judges.

Trip to Rail Museum(Pre School)

Educational trips are essential for the healthy growth of mind. So, a trip was organised for Pre school students at Rail Museum on 18 October 2011(Tuesday). Children were very excited about the picnic. They enjoyed the ride of toy train and learned a little about the history of the Indian Railway. Overall this trip enhanced their knowledge about the most common and popular mode of transport. Through this thrilling trip they learnt the things in easier and lucid manner.

Diya Decoration Activity(Class-II)

"The greatest significance of Diwali is to light up new, bright and colourful dreams, fresh hopes and undiscovered ways".
Diwali is synonymous with the celebration of life and to make this festival special, Diya Decoration Activity was conducted for Class II on 18 October 2011(Tuesday) in school premises. Children brought diyas and decorative material for this activity. They decorated diyas beautifully. It enhanced their creativity. The message was loud and clear "Celebrate Diwali with a conscience". It was the children's zeal and vigour that motivates us to merge ourselves in this light and enjoy the supreme Diwali.


Lantern Activity(Class-III)

"Diwali is the festival of lights, illuminates the darkness and strengthens close friendship and knowledge with a self realization."
On 18 October 2011(Tuesday) the students of Class III learnt to celebrate the festival of Diwali in its purest form by making lanterns. Students made colourful lanterns with attractive papers and also embellished it with mirrors, beads, shells, image of Lord Ganesha etc. Students were encouraged to use these lanterns to adorn the main entrance door of their homes. Students promised their teachers to celebrate this Diwali by sharing happiness and laughter but certainly and a pollution free festival.


Clay Modelling(Class-I)

Clay and kids:The natural way to learn
"Our greatest joy comes when we can employ both our brain and our hands simultaneously in ways which are creative, useful and productive."
Clay is one of those things that is almost irresistible to adults and kids alike. Not many can deny the desire to "play" with clay. So, Clay Modelling competition was held on 18 October 2011(Tuesday)for Class I. The topics were Animals, Toys, Fruits, Vegetables. The clay was made into different shapes by blending the clay. They enjoyed a lot playing with it and decorated well. They came up with innovative ideas and were very enthusiastic.
Such competitions develop children intellectual and practical ability.

Tree Plantation Drive(Nursery Wing)

Trees and plants are an indispensable part of our life. To inculcate the importance of plants, Tree Plantation Day was celebrated on 17 October 2011(Monday). Children brought Rose saplings from their home. Around 100 saplings were planted in the school garden. This activity sensitized the young ones towards the need to make the Earth green and pollution free. It also helped them develop love for mother nature. The tiny tots pledged to conserve nature for a better future.

Card Making Activity (Pre- Primary)

Diwali is the most auspicious festival of Hindus. The word Diwali means'row of lighted lamps' and Diwali signifies the renewal of life. It symbolizes victory of righteousness.
On 14 October 2011 (Friday)Card Making Activity was organised for the tiny tots of Pre Primary. Beautiful cards were made on the occasion of Diwali. Children used creative ideas to make cards by using cutouts of diyas, mirrors, sparkles. Children felt very special while making cards for their family.

Toran Making Activity (Pre-School)

The festival of Diwali commemorates several events in the Hindu religion. To celebrate this festival people illuminate their houses with diyas and doors with torans to welcome Goddess Lakshmi.
Children, alike adults have good time on Diwali as they eagerly wait for sweets and new clothes. We at M.P.S tried to keep up the festive spirit by encouraging and involving little tiny tots to make torans on 13 October 2011(Thursday). Mirrors, peepal leaf printing were used to make Lord Ganesha's face and decorating the rest of toran with glitters and decorative material and definitely their own imagination. This activity enhance their fine motor skills and social skills. It makes them aware about the importance of the festival and its celebration.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration (Nursery Wing)

"Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary."
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated as "Non- voilence Day" on 30 September 2011(Friday). Mahatma Gandhi was a pre-emienent political and ideological leader of India. To give the insight about how Mahatma Gandhi played a pivotal role in freedom struggle of India, Junior school displayed tabloids of his life. Children recited poems and explained the non-voilent ways.

Know Thy Globe - Quiz (Class III)

A quiz was conducted for the students of class III on 20 September 2011(Friday)wherein students learning was checked through this activity.They are being enriched with the knowledge about the flags of various countries. Students participation was quite enthusiastic. It brought a great sense of achievement in them.

The Tiny Tots of Pre Primary went for an Interschool Competition held in Adarsh Public School,Delhi. Kaustav Verma and Somya Jain participated quite enthusiastically. It was their first opportunity to perform in such inter school activity. Their effort was commendable.

Story Enactment Competition held in Adarsh Public School

"Stories are the best, stories are the way to express and learn".
Story Enactment Competition was held in Adarsh Public School, Vikas Puri for the children of Class I on 29 September 2011(Thursday). Various Schools of Delhi participated in this competition. The theme of this competition was fairy tales. Children were geared by different stories with the good morals. Our children enacted on the story Little Red Riding Hood. Children looked stunning in their costumes, cutouts, head gears. The audience were spellbound by their expressions and voice modulation added an edge to the competition and captivated everyone through out the event.They brought laurels to School as they won First prize in the competition.


Dussehra Celebration (Pre School & Pre Primary)

Ramayana was depicted to develop the methological feeling among the students of Pre School and Pre Primary on 29 September 2011(Thursday). The significance of the festival through movies and stories were taught to the children. They dramatised the roles of the different characters from the epic. Srishti Bhatia recited the lines from Ramayana. "Jai Shree Ram" was chanted by all the children.

Inter school Competition held in Adarsh Public School

Children of Pre School participated in FANCY DRESS Inter School Competition organised by Adarsh Public School,Delhi. It depicted life under the sea. Our tiny toddlers, Laksh Sharma became a 'Sea Horse' while Parkhi Aggarwal a 'Flying Fish'. They both Spoke on the features of these sea animals. Their performance left everyone spell bound which created an aura of astounding appreciation.

Interschool Competition held at Adarsh Public School, Delhi

Children of Class III went for a dance competition to Adarsh Public School , Vikaspuri on 28 September 2011(Wednesday). They presented the dance in a group of thirteen students. They did pretty well and gave tough competition to other schools. They brought laurels to School as they won Second prize in the competition.

"Know thy Globe"International Flag Activity was conducted in the school premises by Class III on 27 September 2011(Tuesday). In this activity children participated enthusiastically and drawn the flags of various countries of the Globe. They used different colours, textures. Charkha Making Activity(Pre-School & Pre- Primary)

MAHATMA GHANDHI – THE FATHER OF THE NATION
As a tribute to this great man his birthday is celebrated all over India as a National Day. To salute his values in our tiny tots we had organised a creative activity ‘Charkha making’ for children of Pre-School and Pre-Primary on 27th September 2011 (Tuesday). Children made beautiful charkha with the help of waste material i.e. Bangles, Ice creams sticks, Ice cream spoons etc. Gandhi’s ideals and his life was shown to the children through power point presentation and some short stories related to him were also told to the students.

Educational Trip to Iskcon Temple (Class-III)

Students of Class III got an opportunity to visit Iskcon Temple (East of Kailash) on 24th September 2011 (Saturday). It was a devotional trip combined with great fun and learning. A movie depicting ‘Mahabharata’ was also shown to them which definitely had increased their general knowledge. Moreover learning in their friends and teachers company outside of the routined classroom is always a memorable experience. In short it was a picnic with memories to cherish.

Splash Water Park (Class-II)

We need a healthy rest to work at our best -this is possible with some healthy recreation. A picnic to "Splash Water Park"was organised on 24 September 2011(Saturday) for Class II. Children were very excited about the picnic. The day was filled with fun as they enjoyed themselves on the rides and in the pool. Apart from this, they were served delicious food. The students were ecstatic on their thrilling experience.

Children of Class I visited the National Bal Bhavan on 22 September 2011(Thursday). The students attended workshop on printing, clay modelling, handcrafts and weaving. They also enjoyed the workshops of art, music and dance. It was a funfilled experience for them.

English Recitation Competition (Pre School & Pre Primary)

Rhymes add rhythm and melody in Pre School Education.
English Rhyme Competition was organised for the students of Classes Pre-School and Pre-Primary on 22 September 2011(Thursday). The young ones looked stunning in colourful attires. Many current topics were touched such as plastic is drastic, stop corruption, Krishna's colours etc. The props also enhanced their creativity. It was an excellent opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. Everyone was amazed and spell bound after seeing their pleasing performances.

Hindi Kavita Path Pratiyogita was organized for the children of Class-I on 19 September 2011(Monday) to develop self confidence and to give them stage exposure. Children displayed their talent by reciting poems from different moods of life. They looked beautiful and stunning in their colourful attires. The performance of the children was very pleasing and spell bound. Overall, the event was praiseworthy and appreciated by all.

English Declamation(Class-III)

"Junk Food is really a slow poison". This is what the students of Class III learnt through the English Declamation Competition held on 16 September 2011(Friday). All the participants were very enthusiastic and came to present their views on the topic, "Junk Food-Yummy, but not good for Tummy". They made the students aware about the adverse effects of junk food and they realised the need to improve their eating habits. It was a very informative activity.

Photo Frame Activity was organised for the tiny tots of Pre School on 15 September 2011(Thursday). The students used cartridge sheets, coloured ice cream sticks, spoons and glue. They made vibrant and beautiful frames and showed their aesthetic excellence.

Creative Writing (Hindi) Class-II

The skill of writing is to create a context in which other people can think. Creative writing helps to impress ideas and thoughts in an imaginative way. So to reinforce the love of our mother tongue, 14 September 2011 is celebrated as Hindi Diwas. Our school organised an activity "Creative Writing-Hindi" to nurture their creative power, in Class II on 13 September 2011(Tuesday). They were able to explore their imagination by writing on the topic of their choice. By using enriching vocabulary they were able to write confidently.

Creative Writing (Hindi) Class-III

In the honour of our national language Hindi creative writing was organised to develop thinking power among the students for Class III on 13 September(Tuesday). In this activity various topics were given to the students. All the students participated enthusiastically.

Educational Trip to Iskcon Temple (Class-I)

The students of Class I were taken for a visit to Iskcon Temple, Punjabi Bagh on 13 September 2011(Tuesday). It was a lovely experience for the students as they saw grandeur of the temple. They enjoyed the kirtan and saw the devotees dancing to the tunes of Mahamantra "Hare Rama". They were spellbound on witnessing the religious touch. The students imbibed religious values through the trip.

It was an enriching experience for them. The kirtan and the chants were the most highlighted event of the visit. All the students were completely mesmerised and later Prashad was distributed among them.

Pebble Decoration (Class-II)

Our school had organised Pebble Decoration Activity for Class II on 25 August 2011(Thursday). Students were taught how a useless thing like pebble could be transformed into a beautiful paper weight. Students used their creativity skills while learning this new concept. They were quite enthusiastic in this activity and so the outcome turned out to be fruitful and excellent.

Envelope Making (Class- III)

Envelope Making Activity was organized for the Class-III on 25 August 2011(Thursday). All the students participated actively with great enthusiasm. They showed great interest in learning something new and different. Their creativity was appreciated by all.

Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar organised an Inter School Competition on 25 August 2011(Thursday). Angad Singh Makkar of Pre-School won the Ist prize in Fancy Dress Tech Attire Competition.

Master Stroke (MS-PAINT)

Kulachi Hansraj Model School organised a competition related to MS Paint on 24 August 2011(Wednesday). Neeraj Sahita & Lakshay Malhotra from Class III actively participated in this competition. The competition was for one hour and the topics given were - Fight against Terrorism, Save Environment, My Dream Vacation. They had to use MS Paint Software to draw and colour the picture related to above topics in the given time i.e one hour which was provided to them.
They did pretty well and gave tough competition to other students who participated from other schools.

Mind Twister (Quiz)

Kulachi Hansraj Model School , Ashok Vihar had organised Inter School Competition (Mind Twister Quiz) for Class-II on 24 August 2011(Wednesday). The duration of the quiz was one hour. The quiz was based to check basic knowledge of students related to computers and internet. It was a well organised event as it gave equal opportunity to all the participants to enhance their knowledge of computers. Vanshika Puri And Sujal Singh actively participated in this event.

POT DECORATION (Pre- School)

On the sacred occasion of Krishan Janmashtami Pot Decoration Activity was held for the students of Pre-School on 18 August 2011(Thursday). Hand Printing Activity (Pre-Primary)

Come let's join our hands together we are one nation.
The students of Pre-Primary made beautiful National flags on cartridge sheets by dipping their hands in holy saffron calm white and earthy green colours. Hand Printing Activity took place on 11 August 2011(Thursday) and the flags were displayed outside each section. This gave them sense of pride, oneness and togetherness.

Crown Making Activity(Pre-School)

Crown Making Activity was organised for the tiny tots of Pre School on 03 August 2011(Thursday). Children made beautiful head crowns by pasting tri-colour circles and cutout of dove - considered as a symbol of peace. They decorated crowns in their unique way. Teachers gave the children an insight about the National Flag and familarised about how India achieved its independence. The children got inspiration from the innumerable sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

Donation For SARTHAK PRAYAS BY NURSERY WING

M.P.S always aim high and carves a niche for itself everywhere. Donating old toys and clothes to Sarthak Prayas Organisation is small step towards the upliftment of the society. Children learnt to donate and empathise with weaker section of the society.



Raksha Bandhan (Pre-Primary & Class-I)

The bond of brother and sister is one of the most unique and beautiful relationship. This feeling of oneness could be deepened through the celebration of Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 11.08.2011(Thursday). Our little angels celebrated this festival. “Every child is born with a creative spark. All we need to do is fan it with our words of love and encouragement”.

Rakhi Making Competition was organised for Pre-Primary to explore the hidden talents of our young angels. It was an eye-popping experience for the judges as beautiful rakhi’s were made by them.

Rakhi Making Activity was held for the students of Class-I. Children prepared very beautiful Rakhi’s using holy thread, glitters, sequins and stars. They took a lot of interest to show their creativity.



Janmashtami Celebration


"GOKUL MEIN JO KARE NIWAS,
GOPIYO SANG JO RACHAAYE RAAS.
DEVKI-YASHODHA JINKI MAIYA,
AISE HUMARE KRISHNA KANAHIYA."

Janmashtami festival was celebrated on 19.08.11(Friday) with great joy. The premises was decorated with buntings, flowers, swings etc. Students from Pre-School to Class-III participated with great enthusiasm. Children displayed jhankis showing important incidents from the Lord's life. The birth of Lord Krishna, Deviki, Vasudev, Karaavas, Incarnation of Krishna, Iskcon temple, Krishna updesha to Arjuna and Sheesh Naag were depicted in the school premises. Puja Ceremony was followed by the lighting of lamp by Ma’am Principal. The children were brightly dressed as Krishna, Radha and Gopikas. The function ended with the distribution of Prasad. Their efforts were appreciated by Principal Madam.
Children of Pre-Primary made beautiful crowns of Krishna. They decorated them with mirrors, sparkles and peacock feathers. They all had a gala time.




Independence Day Celebration

Independence from Terrorism was the theme of this year’s celebrations. IT WAS AN EFFORT TO SENSITISE THE STUDENTS, OF THE PAIN AND VIOLENCE SPREAD BY THE UGLY FACE OF TERRORISM.

Independence Day was celebrated on 12.08.2011(Friday) where Madam Principal Mrs Alka Kapur hoisted the flag. The tiny tots of Pre-School were dressed up in white kurta pyjama with tricolour stole reminded of an era of freedom fighters. They sung a patriotic song along with slogan Jai Hind which was echoed in all the classes. Students from various classes participated enthusiastically on this occasion. This created a feeling of patriotism and love for their country.




Kite Decoration (Pre-Primary)

Kites, Kites, Kites
Fly up high
Like little birdies
Fill up the sky.

Flying Kites symbolise independence as with it comes string of rights and duties. Kites of different shapes, sizes and colour were made beautifully by the students of Pre-Primary on 10.08.2011(Wednesday). They used mirrors, stars, smiles and glitters for decoration. Their work was appreciated and displayed in the class.




Tricolour Sandwich Making Activity (Class-I)

To raise the spirit of patriotism children of Class-I celebrated Independence Day by making Tricolour Sandwich on 12.08.11(Friday). Children made the sandwiches with bread, butter, green and red chutney in a very fun-filled and an interesting manner. The teachers told them the significance of National Flag. They learnt the colours of the National Flag.

Fruit Carnival (Pre-School & Pre-Primary)

Orange, mango, apples, sweet fruits, juicy fruits
Eat them all, grow healthy, big and tall.

To inculcate a good habit of eating fruits and avoiding junk food children of Pre-School and Pre-Primary organised a fruit shop on 11.08.11(Thursday) in school premises. Variety of fruits were displayed like mango, pineapple, apple, papaya, guava etc. The benefits of eating fruits were shared with the students.
Two students acted as fruit seller while the others as buyers. The entire act enhanced the mathematical, communicative and theatre skills among the students. It also increased coherence in them.



Rakhi Making Activity (Pre-School)

Rakhi is a sacred thread embellished with sister's care, love and affection for her brother. What can be a better expression of love than self made rakhi. Rakhi Making Activity was held on 09.08.2011(Tuesday) for Pre-School. Children showed their creativity by decorating hand crafted rakhi with foil paper, match sticks and stones. They had a lot of fun and enjoyed completely.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration (Pre-School)

Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the abiding and immaculate bond of love between brother and sister. Raksha Bandhan Celebration was celebrated for the tiny tots of Pre-School on 11.08.2011(Thursday). The teacher explained the significance of the festival in their respective classes while the excited girls tied the auspicious thread(Rakhi)around the wrist of the boys who gave sweets and chocolates in exchange.

Crown Making Activity (Class-II)

Crown Making Activity was organised for the students of Class II on 15.07.2011(Friday). The main aim of this activity was to increase the creativity and imagination. The students used pastel sheets, decorative materials and flowers to make the crown. They were very enthusiastic about the activity. It was a thrilling experience for them, for which they worked with full energy. It was a change for them from their regular schedule. it was enjoyed a lot by all.

Button Pasting Activity (Pre-Primary)


The tiny tots of Pre Primary filled the colours of their imagination in the outlined picture of butterfly. Button Pasting Activity added more colour and beauty to it. Children loved to put buttons on the butterfly themselves. They learned to handle and use fevicol properly to make attractive things. These activities enhance the creative skills of the children. To encourage the students, their work was displayed during Parents' Teacher Meeting which made the parents feel proud to see the innovative work of their little ones.


Kavya Abhinay Pratiyogita (Class II & III)

On 29.07.2011(Friday) Kavya Abhinay Pratiyogita was held, where all the students performed with great enthusiasm. Various thought provoking topics were touched by the students in their poem enactment like terrorism, birds captivity, importance of trees etc. This activity helped in removing their stage fear and made them confident. Students like Bhavneet Kaur, Soumya Bhardwaj, Pearl Chauhan and Divye were awarded for their best presentation. At the end, Madam Principal enriched students with her valuable suggestions.

Wall Hanging Activity (Class-III)

"When learning is mixed with fun it results in creativity"

Wall Hanging Activity held on 15.07.2011(Friday) was just a small effort to highlight the inner creativity of young students of Class III. Students made beautiful and attractive wall hangings with bamboo sticks, cutouts of flowers using different decorative materials. Through this activity students learnt simple things like bamboo sticks that can be reused into an innovative wall hanging. The hidden talents of children were highlighted in this activity.

Clay Modelling Competition (Pre-School)

Young minds can think new and big. With play-doh the task becomes quite easy, exciting and long lasting. It is absolutely safe and non-toxic. Clay Modelling Competition was held on 19 July 2011(Tuesday). This competition was the perfect platform for the creative minds of the children to meet their colourful desires and fantasy needs. They made their own beautiful sun, snake, shapes, flowers, swan etc and displayed them with pride.
The motive of this competition was to stimulate the imagination of the children and enable them to give it a better shape. This enhanced their eye-hand coordination, colour recognition, fine motor skills and problem solving skills.

Umbrella Activity (Pre-School)

Here is the new umbrella, wide and high.
It keeps me cozy, warm and dry.
If rain starts falling from the sky, open it up and you will stay dry.


Umbrella is a canopy used as a protection against rain and sunlight. Umbrella Activity was held on 15 July 2011(Friday). In this activity children made decorative hand crafted umbrellas with ice-cream sticks, smiley stickers and sparkles. Children enjoyed the activity very much.



Story Telling Workshop (H.T.)

A story is the most wonderful thing which takes the children to another world. It gives them true enjoyment. It is a fantastic feeling to open the wings of imagination and fly with the characters of a story.

The same happened when H.T. resource person, Mr. Narula told a story to the children of Class II. Story Telling Workshop was organised on 10 May 2011(Tuesday). Mr. Narula was an excellent narrator. He captured the attention of the children with his simple language and proper voice modulation. Children sat quietly and listened to the thrilling story. They moved with the little bear of the story who out of curiosity left his mother and wanted to explore the nearby area. A big lion saw it and wanted to kill the bear. Luckily bear's mother came there and saved it. The facial expression of the children changed with every move of the story. Mr. Narula showed them beautiful pictures of various important sequences of the story on his laptop which the children enjoyed very much. They wanted to hear more of such stories.

Hindi Hasya Kavita Pratiyogita

Humour filled poems tickled the funny bones of all the children, livening up the ambience with fun and frolic.
Hindi Hasya Kavita Pratiyogita was organized for Pre School & Pre Primary children on 22 July 2011(Friday). It was a surprise package and gave ample opportunity to the children to showcase their hidden skills. The environment was mesmerized by the classic presentation by our little poets and did spread lot of happiness around. The competition spirit ensured best possible and quality output. Children recited different humorous poems like Machchar Chalisa, Fashion ka Bukhaar, Mujhe Neta Banne Do, Kaddu ki Baraat etc.

Puppet Show (Pre-School & Pre-Primary)

Puppets have been a versatile means of communication and expression. They are an edge between entertainment and education. Puppets can both teach and persuade. The puppets strike a deal with their creators - YOU MOVE THEM AND THEY MOVE EVERYONE. All puppets come to life as characters as soon as their creator starts moving them.
Puppet Show was organised by HT pace for tiny-tots on   15 July 2011(Friday). A performance by the bright puppets, created the world in which all the children were caught in. The messages given were - To Be Clean, To Be Friendly and Not To Trust Strangers. Children enjoyed the show and learned good values.
The lessons learnt in this way are more likely to be remembered and becomes an integral part of one's memory.

Table Manners workshop organised by H.T.

Manners are important in society. They help us to be civil to one another. The most important of all are the table manners, the rules of etiquette used while eating.
Each family sets its own standards of table manners, wherein little children are trained accordingly. But a child's disposition should be publically approved also. Hence, The Hindustan Times group organised a table manners workshop for Class III on 6 May 2011(Friday) in the school premises wherein they were trained to use utensils appropriately. They were guided to make no noise with utensils whether you are with your family or outside.
The workshop was very helpful in upgrading their social relationships.

Lemonade Making (Pre Primary and Class I)

Summers are very hot,
no colas, no pepsi,
only lemonades are the best shot.

"Lemonades are the best to quench ones thirst"
Children these days are attracted towards cola, pepsi and other aerated drinks. This should be discouraged amongst them. To beat the heat, Lemonade Making Activity was organised for Pre Primary and Class I children on 8 July 2011(Friday). Children made the lemonade themselves by mixing powdered sugar into water and squeezing lemon into it. They enjoyed the refreshing drink. Children had a great time and through this activity they learned to make the fresh lemon drink independently which enhanced the level of confidence in them.

Rain Dance (Pre Primary)

Rain Rain don't go away,

Students of Pre Primary enjoyed the Rain Dance on 11 May 2011(Wednesday). Artificial rain was created for them using sprinklers. Children wearing beautiful and colourful costumes looked like butterflies enjoying the breeze.

on the the face, on the head.

play in the muddy water,
with friends it evokes lots of laughter.

Family Day ( Pre School)

We laugh and cry,
we work and play,
we help each other everyday.
The world's a lovely place to be,
because we are a family.

A child is what its family makes him when a child is born he learns to live, to adjust in his family. Family Day was celebrated 9 May 2011 (Monday) by Pre School. It reflected the idea that a family stays together, plays together and has fun together.
Children were dressed up as Grand Father, Grand Mother, Mother, Father and all the other family members. Mehar Dutta introduced the various family members and spoke about how they help us. This activity not only made children learn about joint and nuclear families but also helped them to enhance their conversational skills.

Mothers Day (Pre Primary)

"God Cannot be everywhere so he created Mothers "

M.P.S organised Mother's Day to honour all the Mothers and to their selfless and relentless dedication.6th May 2011 was a special day wherein six mothers from each sections came and served the children their delicious Puri Chole and fruit chaat .Mothers were given traditional welcome by applying tilak on their forehead , they were crowned and were given beautiful badges.All mothers as well as the students were equally enthusiastic .Children had a good time listening to the stories narrated by the guest mothers .All the mothers performed , no matter what they did, some sang songs , some danced and some narrated stories .Our honourable Principal Mam and our Nursery Incharge Mrs Roma Jacob for making them feel so special on that day.Beautiful cards were given to all the students which they gave to their mothers .

Mothers are most precious gem and we can never really repay what all she does for us but a small gesture like this can really make her feel special.

Before going for a long summer vacation, children were given a refreshing icy-treat.M.P.S orgainsed an ice cream party ;wherein children had a Mother Dairy chocolate Cornetto Cone along with their friends. Children had a wonderful experience of enjoying ice cream with their teachers and friends. They loved this experience and will treasure throughout their vacation.

Mother's Day was organised on 5th May ,2011 for Pre School .All children were excited and egerly waited for their mothers.All mothers were full of enthusiasm and were excited to join their kids at school.They recited poems and enjoyed spending time with their children .Crown and badges were presented to the mother's as a token of love and appreciation which made them feel happy.
Mother's brought delicious food for all the children and served them.All Mother's wished to have this activity again and again .

Rain Dance (Class I)

"Life is not about waiting for the strom to pass , It's about dancing in the rain".

To be able to dance in the rain , to be as free as a little child that knows no fear , no judgement for doing something that makes him happy.Not caring whether he'll slip or fall in the mud , not caring whether he'll get drenched all over .
Our School organized "Rain Dance Activity" for the students of class I which was held on 12 May, 2011.It was a time of enjoyment , for both students and teachers.Students came in various colourful swimming costumes .They danced enthusiastically , enjoying the rain dance .They had colourful hats and umbrellas.One can never forget those innocent little faces filled with joy. Dancing with their friends gave them immense pleasure .While they were dancing , every child seemed to sing :
A dance in the rain
My feet in the mud
a patter of raindrops
as i look up above
and if I can dance without tripping
if I can just sing once more
I'll thank the rain now washing my face
and I shall dance on and on.....

The concept of celebrating Mothers Day on the second Sunday of May is new in India. This day is devoted solely to mothers.The whole idea of celebrating Mother's Day is to thank mother, to make her feel important on the day and be happy about mothering caring children .On 9 May 2011 , children celebrated Mother's Day in the School .Mothers of six children from each class were invited .They were welcomed with traditional tilak And flowers.They were crowned to make them feel important.Mothers served food, prepared by them to then children .Children enjoyed the food sang songs for mothers.Mothers also shared their childhood experiences with the children.Mothers recited songs, narrated stories and danced with the children .Mothers enjoyed spending time not only with their own son or daughter but the whole class .Children made beautiful cards for their mothers with a slogan inside -"MUMMY I LOVE YOU"

For a child mother is the most important person as she not only gives him birth but she stands by his side throughout her life.In our school also "Mother's Day" was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.Children of class II were asked to make beautiful cards for their mothers.Amazing creativity was seen in their work.All the students participated enthusiastically to show the love , care that they owe to their mother.
It is truely said "God could not be every where and therefore he made mother"So, to honour all the mothers ,"A Mother's Day" is celebrated worldwide.

Rain Dance Party (Pre School)


Rain Dance is a great blessing after the summer heat. The scorching sun and extreme heat made life unbearable not only for humans but also for animals and plants. So,to beat the heat of the summer "Rain Dance Party" was held on 10 May 2011. All little tiny tots were looking very dashing in swimming costumes. The artificial rain was organised to provide the same effect. Such joys can never be forgotten. Everyone looked so fresh, talented. Little rock stars danced on the thrilling music. Children who loved to play with nature's blessings enjoyed and showed more advanced motor fitness. There is no way that can help children to learn to love and preserve this planet, if we don't give them direct experiences with the miracles and blessings of nature.

English Recitation Competition (Class II)

Poem is a way to express our feelings in the most sensitive way.When we recite a poem , it goes deep in our hearts.Just to have this wonderful feeling our school organized "Poem Recitation Competition".
This was the first activity of the session for the students.Children were allowed to recite the poem of their choice.All the children participated enthusiastically.They were very excited to show their talent to their new class teacher.They recited beautiful poems with gestures and expressions.The best two poems were selected from each class.Children enjoyed this activity a lot.They are eagerly looking forward to show their talent again.

This party was organised by the teachers to welcome the new entrants to our M.P.S family.There was a perfect blend of enjoyment and laughter exposure and excitement, fun and frolic for all the students.The toddlers had a rocking time at the welcome party.dressed in colourful attire , the tiny tots depicted a wonderful spectacle with rhythmic beats and a smile on their lips.they had a gala time along with their teachers which made them comfortable in the new environment.

Fruit Chaat Activity

It has been observed that these days children do'nt want to eat healthy food rather they relish junk food.So we at M.P.S try to inculcate good eating habits in children at a young age.
Class I celebrated Fruit Day on 29.4.11.Children brought different fruits (chopped )chaat masala , lemon etc.They prepared healthy and nutritious chat themselves with the help of the teachers in the class. Children enjoyed a lot .They made a promise to eat fruit daily.
