Inspiring Personalities- Role Play Activity

Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh envisages an education system where the students are prepared to face the challenges of life. Exposure through various activities enables the students to hone their talents as well as widen their horizon. To strengthen our efforts for nurturing the speaking skills and to provide a platform for gaining confidence. The students of Classes II and III were given a chance to participate in ‘Inspiring Personalities- Role Play Activity’ on 26.02.2013 (Tuesday). They played the role of various characters of their choice and spoke a few lines about the same. Overall the session was full of joy, learning and achievement as the students were successfully able to portray the character of their inspiring personality.

Group Dance Competition

Dance is an expression beautifully woven with rhythm. Dancing in group needs coordination, synchronization and trust among the group members. Our tiny tots from Pre Primary excelled in their group dance performance held on 22 February 2013 (Friday) in the school premises. Nursery Incharge Ms. Roma Jacob graced the occasion and whole-heartedly applauded the young dancers. Folk dances of various states like Rajasthan, Kashmir, Goa, and Gujarat were depicted with great enthusiasm. Students dazzled the onlookers with their stunning performance and received the appreciation of all.

Strings of Words- English Poem Recitation Competition

Expression is the very essence of dynamism and dynamism is the foundation of life. Expression not only strikes the flames of intellectual learning but also satisfies cerebral appetite. Feeling and following the same, the students of Class II and III participated in ‘String of Words’ – English Poem Recitation Competition which was held on 14^th February 2013 (Thursday). Students recited interesting poems on varied themes. They were very confident and expressive during the activity, capturing the attention and interest of the audience. It was a splendid treat for the ears and was relished by one and all present.  

Hindi Kahani Vachan Pratiyogita

Hindi Kahani Vachan Pratiyogita was held for the students of Class I on 12.02.2013 (Tuesday). Students narrated interesting moral based stories and were very confident while narrating the same. The props prepared were very creative and beautiful. Through this competition, students were able to know and imbibe moral values. 

A Peep into the Land of Fantasy

Students of Pre School were given a chance to live the life of their favourite cartoon/ fantasy character through a fashion show - “A Peep into the Land of Fantasy” held on 17-2-2013 (Tuesday) in the school premises. The tiny tots were dressed beautifully in the related attires and confidently spoke a few lines about the character they portrayed. Such activities undoubtedly helped the students bring out the best of their creativity and shed off their inhibitions, if any. 

Visit to Gandhi Smriti

Students of class I visited Gandhi Smriti on 2nd Feb'13, Saturday. They saw and experienced life like stages of Mahatma Gandhi's life & his struggle for freedom. Every corner of the place bore the signs of Bapu's thoughts & his belongings like charkha. Students also watched a movie on Mahatma Gandhi's life and felt inspired to live a simple yet respectable life. The trip was actually a feast for the eyes and an unforgettable learning experience.
