Lemonade making




 
 
    “Beat the heat with cool summer drink”

A cool glass of lemonade, is the most welcomed drink in the hot summer.  Its unbeatable taste is liked by the people of all the age groups. To refresh the young soul lemonade making activity was held for the students of class I on 25.04.14 (Friday). Students made lemonade in the presence of their teacher. They were guided step by step for the same. This all time favourite can be whipped up in a jiffy. The real charm of this drink lies in its sweet & sour tastes. This activity had certainly given the little ones immense joy and satisfaction of learning by doing.

Earth Day

‘I am the earth and the earth is me’
To inculcate in the students, the feeling of gratitude towards nature, Earth day was celebrated on 22 April 2014 (Tuesday) by the students of Nursery Department with great sincerity. The students realised their duty to conserve their environment by participating in various activities organised for them. The young learners of Pre -Primary and class I decorated jute bags and pen stand using waste material. Students of class II planted saplings in the school premises and class III recited poems on the topic ‘My Green Planet’. All the activities certainly helped in sensitizing the scholars regarding the pressing need to save our unique planet.

On the way to wonderland


‘On the way to wonderland’ activity was conducted for the students of class II on 15.04.14 (Tuesday).Students portrayed various characters from the wonderful world of fairy tales. Their make up and costume complimented their presentation. Characters like Cinderella, Snow White, Sindbad, Pinocchio fascinated everybody. Their presentation took all the students onto a journey to the imaginative world of fairy tales. They all presented their monologue very confidently.

Quality Circle


           ‘Life is beautiful, Life is Precious’

 

For a better and safe life, little children need to be taught to be watchful and cautious all the time. To create awareness among the students regarding various kinds of risks associated to their lives, a quality circle programme was organized for the students of class III on the topic – ‘Stop taking risks – life is precious’ on 06.03.14 (Thursday). A power point presentation was prepared on the same to make students alert in their day to day lives. It was an informative session for the students which would definitely help them enjoying a risk free life.

Table manners activity


  “Good etiquette are a reflection of a good person”

Modern Public School provides an edge in education. It understand the importance of table manners in grooming up a child’s personality. And as the saying goes “Young brain is like a sponge – the more you pour the more it grasps, “Table etiquette activity was organised for the students of classes (Pre school to Ist) on 14.03-2014 (Friday) where in the students were taught basic etiquette of eating properly. How to spread cloth napkin and proper usage of cutlery proper posture were demonstrated by the teacher. Students relished gujiyas and pakoras with their friends. With this activity students were bid adieu as the session came to an end.

Grandparents Day

                       “A Visit to Old Age Home”
Grandparents are an epitome of love and affection. They help us to lead our lives with perfection. Bundles of joy and rays of hope. Every difficult situation, they help us to cope.
What grandparents do in our life, no one else can do! They are like a shady tree. In their soothing lap we can forget all our worries. They are the root of our strong value system. But unfortunately in the pursuit of materialistic gain. We are not giving them due respect which is resulting in more number of nuclear families. To acknowledge their contribution in school our life, tiny lots of our school visited Shiv Ashray Senior citizen, Rohini sec – 9, Elder Home Society , sec-11, Rohini and Trivenidevi Vridh Ashram, Kanjhawala on 11 march 2014. These students sang lovely rhymes for elderly people there and distributed gifts packs soap moisturizer, hair oil, toothpaste, pain relief spray, shampoo etc. The kind gesture of little ones touched their heart. It was a nice learning experience for the students too.

'Cooking without fire'


                          A culinary delight

 To develop culinary skills in our little modernites, an inter house cooking without fire activity was conducted for the students of classes II and III on 26.02.14 (Wednesday). The little chefs [played with various ingredients which resulted in luscious treats. The team prepared sumptuous dishes like ‘Nutty Bread Balls in Curd’, ‘Choco Honey Nutty Delight’, ‘Chocolate Fantasy’, ‘Nacho Corn Chaat’ etc. their tempting dishes were relished by all.
