A story is the most wonderful thing which takes the children to another world. It gives them true enjoyment. It is a fantastic feeling to open the wings of imagination and fly with the characters of a story.

The same happened when H.T. resource person, Mr. Narula told a story to the children of Class II. Story Telling Workshop was organised on 10 May 2011(Tuesday). Mr. Narula was an excellent narrator. He captured the attention of the children with his simple language and proper voice modulation. Children sat quietly and listened to the thrilling story. They moved with the little bear of the story who out of curiosity left his mother and wanted to explore the nearby area. A big lion saw it and wanted to kill the bear. Luckily bear's mother came there and saved it. The facial expression of the children changed with every move of the story. Puppet Show (Pre-School & Pre-Primary)

Puppets have been a versatile means of communication and expression. They are an edge between entertainment and education. Puppets can both teach and persuade. The puppets strike a deal with their creators - YOU MOVE THEM AND THEY MOVE EVERYONE. All puppets come to life as characters as soon as their creator starts moving them.
Puppet Show was organised by HT pace for tiny-tots on   15 July 2011(Friday). A performance by the bright puppets, created the world in which all the children were caught in. The messages given were - To Be Clean, To Be Friendly and Not To Trust Strangers. Children enjoyed the show and learned good values.
The lessons learnt in this way are more likely to be remembered and becomes an integral part of one's memory.

Table Manners workshop organised by H.T.

Manners are important in society. They help us to be civil to one another. The most important of all are the table manners, the rules of etiquette used while eating.
Each family sets its own standards of table manners, wherein little children are trained accordingly. But a child's disposition should be publically approved also. Hence, The Hindustan Times group organised a table manners workshop for Class III on 6 May 2011(Friday) in the school premises wherein they were trained to use utensils appropriately. They were guided to make no noise with utensils whether you are with your family or outside.
The workshop was very helpful in upgrading their social relationships.

Lemonade Making (Pre Primary and Class I)

Summers are very hot,
no colas, no pepsi,
only lemonades are the best shot.

"Lemonades are the best to quench ones thirst"
Children these days are attracted towards cola, pepsi and other aerated drinks. This should be discouraged amongst them. To beat the heat, Lemonade Making Activity was organised for Pre Primary and Class I children on 8 July 2011(Friday). Children made the lemonade themselves by mixing powdered sugar into water and squeezing lemon into it. They enjoyed the refreshing drink. Children had a great time and through this activity they learned to make the fresh lemon drink independently which enhanced the level of confidence in them.
